EUSD at a Glance |
Escondido Union (Elementary) School District (EUSD), in partnership with our community, is committed to providing quality learning experiences for all students in a supportive environment, enabling them to be lifelong learners, productive members of the community, and positive contributors. Our goal is to ensure accountability for continuous student academic achievement at a high level for our more than 18,000 students in grades kindergarten through 8.
Our teachers, classified employees, and administrators work collaboratively with parents and the community to actively engage all students in daily learning. All of our schools observe a traditional school calendar. Like other school districts across San Diego County and the state of California, EUSD has experienced declining enrollment over the past decade for a cumulative loss of 1,300 students, or just under 7% of our student enrollments from 1999 through 2009.
